SeQuitia Stewart - Founder

Founder of STAY Focused was born and raised in Joliet IL.  Mrs. Stewart is passionate about giving everyone choices and resources to help reach their goals. STAY Focused was created after SeQuitia saw a need for college students from under resourced, and under-served communities with an increasingly high dropout rate. Losing both parents early on in her life and raising her brother, she was able to relate to having a lack of support. She strongly believes that any child with the persistence to further their education, should have the tools to complete their goals, despite their circumstances (deceased parents, incarcerated parents, or coming from single parent homes) and help them become successful pillars of their communities.

While she was a full-time student and employee, Mrs. Stewart remained dedicated to the loves of her life, her husband and 3 children. She later earned her B.A at National Louis University in Behavioral Science.

SeQuitia has many interests, however none is more important than education and the success of children. SeQuitia has a long history of taking action by volunteering and advocating for those issues that are dearest to her.
